This is one of my favorite folktales.  You could definitely use this in a math lesson as well. In this story from China, when a woodcutter finds a magic pot that makes two of everything that he puts inside of it, he thinks all of his troubles have disappeared! Or have his troubles merely doubled?

by Robert Pottle (author), Mike & Carl Gordon (illustrator)       © 2007 ISBN: 9781416929475
I love poetry and humor! I’m Allergic to School! is the first solo project by Giggle Poet Robert Pottle, and it depicts everyday events only a former teacher could capture. It contains 18 hilarious poems and songs about the funnier-than-fiction misadventures that occur at school. The 4-color illustrations are equally entertaining and giggle-packed.
